Hey Bee Hey, blogger Bee checking in. Whey June was definitely a busy month in the hive. We were so excited that we were able to push out so many large jars of honey out to the bees.
I decided to go on Hollow stem road this week and check in on some of our widow bees. Mamma bee sent me on a mission to check on them. As I buzzed over Hollow Stem road, I saw some of our widow Bees waking up from a nap. One of our Bees just became a widow a short time ago so the other widows were swarming around her making sure she is able to get back on track.
The Bees asked me if I could get her a Taste of Honey to help get her appetite back. The widow Bee was feeling quite overwhelmed with grief and a little lost because she had so many bills piling up. So I went back to Momma Bee and asked her if she could give me a
Taste of Honey for a bee who had lost her life partner and provider. How could she enter into a workforce that she has never even visited?
TASTE OF HONEY
I myself am a widow Bee. Death is so final someone told me when my husband died and I never forgot that. I knew there were many bills that needed to be paid. Over the years we have had so many Bees that have experienced jumping into the workforce with no work experience. Or so they thought. A wife has so much work experience under her wings that she often outworks college degree bees. Let me give you a Taste of Honey.
Count every year you were married as a year on the job.
Many of our Bees have booked career coaching and found out the gifts they have graciously accumulated over the years of marriage. Such as emotional intelligence, collaboration, along with leadership and motivational skills. All of these along, with your maturity in tense environments and being able to find simple quick solutions to otherwise difficult decisions is a skill set most corporations love.
Right before Momma Bee buzzed off I saw a tear drop from her eye. I asked her if she was okay? She looked at me and said becoming a widow is something no one will ever be Ok with. But here at Black on the job we are here to make sure our widow Bees get that extra taste of honey they need to make their new life just a little sweeter. Believe it or not the sooner you get your appetite for life back the sooner you will start back eating!
This was definitely a powerful Taste Of Honey for me to take back to our widow bees.
Remember if you have any questions you would like me to ask Momma Bee then post it in our hive, then hash tag #Beeprepared and I will go to momma bee and grab you a Taste of Honey.
