Woman in patterned dress sits in an office, holding a coffee cup, gazing at a laptop. Background has plants and shelves. Calm mood.

Buzzing around the honeycomb hive this week looking for some sticky notes to share with the bees. Unbeknownst to me I ran into a bee giving away a taste of honey. As I buzzed by  Momma Bee asked if I wanted a taste of “Interview Preparation” to share with the bees.

Taste Of Honey

The biggest mistake we often make while preparing for an interview is thinking that re-reading and rehearsing our resume the day before the interview is a form of preparation. It is not.

Although reading over your resume is always a good thing it is not the thing that will get you prepared.

Remember brief answers are the best answers.

Long answers complete with examples, dialog and analogies often tend to lose the interviewer somewhere in the sauce. Make your answers direct and factual. If they want more they will ask you for more.

Well, I am buzzing out the Honeycomb hive for the day bees. I will pop back in from time to time and gather a “Taste of Honey” from Momma Bee.
