Teacher Bee

Hey bee hey! Blogger bee here! I am just buzzing with excitement after leaving Hollow Log Lane with the Bumblebees. The Bumblebee colony is mainly filled with Teacher Bees. But like so many Teachers, they are looking at the cost of living in this economy, and some have taken their skills to a new level. I found several bees who were scared to take the buzz into a new career and had a few questions for Momma Bee. So I am buzzing over to the hive to sit down with Momma Bee and grab our teacher bees a taste of Honey.

Momma Bee some of the Bumble Bees over on Hollow Log Lane are concerned with the cost of living constantly rising they are curious about the future. Some of the Bees have been Teachers for quite sometime and last year a group of the Bees took the Fundemaental Payroll Course. They have now moved from Hollow Log Lane into the suburbs. The bees that didnt take the course are still on the leaf about leaving a profession they have been in for so long. Can you give our Teacher Bees just a Taste of Honey before they make the decision?

Taste Of Honey

In this Political climate we need to bee prepared. Some of our Bees over in the west coast and even in some of our southern states have buzzed over to the hive and told Momma bee that a lot of schools are either loosing funding on some of their programs or have been shut down altogether and the students are being combined with other surrounding school districts. When programs are defunded it means some of our Bees are left displaced with only a small severance pay and no job.Which is why the Fundental Payroll course is being offered again this year. Teachers as well as a few others carry over some very strong transferable skills.

Attention to detail – Lesson planning, grading, and compliance with school policies all require accuracy, similar to payroll’s need for error-free data entry and compliance.

Time management – Managing class schedules, grading deadlines, and parent meetings mirrors payroll cycles and deadlines.

Confidentiality – Handling student records and sensitive information parallels the need to safeguard employee pay and personal data.

Communication skills – Teachers are used to explaining complex topics clearly; in payroll, this is useful when explaining deductions, tax changes, or policies to staff.

Problem-solving – Adjusting to classroom challenges is similar to resolving  discrepancies in payroll data

According to USA Facts the average teacher makes $63,000 per year. Let's not forget that many of our teachers invest some of their own money into classroom supplies.

The average salary for our Bees that have been certified in the Fundamental Payroll course start off earning anywhere from $70,000 to $85,000 per year. The average person spends upwards of $2000.00 per year on gas commuting to and from work.

85% of all payroll accountants work from home and/or commute only for meetings

We have not even added in daycare for our teachers.
