Hey Bee, Hey!! Blogger Bee here with another Taste Of Honey!!
This week I went to New York! I met up with some Bees from Africa. I brought Momma Bee with me because we wanted to support our Bees as they prepared to fight for change during the election. We knew that it would be a risk for a lot of the killer Bees that are directly related to the African Bees in New York to come support due to the issue with the cold water boys. So Momma Bee and I decided to buzz around with them and support. While we were there a lot of the Bees expressed their concern for the economy.

Although a lot of our immigrants in this country, especially in New York, have been successful business owners. With this ever-changing economy, it has trickled down to the business owner. No matter where you originally came from, being a business owner is just not enough. With so many people not working or working without pay, people just can’t afford extras. Some of our business owners have not had to work in the traditional workforce in so long because they have been busy building and thriving in their business. With such a large gap of time missing from their Resume, they just don’t know where to start.
Due to the consistent income drops, many of the Bees have tried doing their own Resumes, and they are not getting very far. Momma Bee, can you give our Bees A Taste of Honey to help them find alternate ways to feed their family?
Taste Of Honey
Well, Blogger Bee, transitioning into the traditional workspace after spending years as an entrepreneur is not as huge a challenge as it seems. While working as an entrepreneur, you have acquired some very strong skills. The skills you have acquired as an entrepreneur are priceless. However, they need to be displayed properly on your resume so that your skills speak louder than your absence from the workforce. A lot of people are turning to AI to write their resumes. So much so that recruiters are now trained to spot these resumes and are also turning these “fake” resumes down. Let's look at a few transferable skills from a couple of different industries.

Feeling betrayed. For years, I was told never to mention my business on my resume for fear of conflict of interest or some mess like that! So glad to finally hear from a real expert on the matter!
My resume definitely represents it all because you all did an amazing job with it.
As an entrepreneur, I can say my resume definitely doesn’t show my transferable skills. It’s hard to show them when you don’t know where you want to pivot next.
Although I have had a resume review some months ago, I don't think my current resume represents the best of my transferable skills (and that's most likely my fault). I have worked in the hospitality space before, and although I would absolutely love to work in that space again, I can't seem to get my foot in the door. It's also good to know that I can put my entrepreneurial skills into my resume as well.
One step under entrepreneur I believe are independent contractors line myself and yes, the skill set I have achieved in that capacity makes my skill set transferrable which I am learning.
