Hey Bee, Hey!! Blogger Bee here with another Taste Of Honey!! This week, MommaBee is busy in the hive with our annual Black Friday Sale. This year, the board of Bees took a lot of time out to consider the economic situations of the Bees across the country. This year has been especially hard in our community due to all the sudden changes in the political as well as economic conditions around the country.
This week, the Taste Of Honey will be a Jar of honey. We want to make sure our Bees end this year with a bigger bang than that thud we were forced to start the year with.

Did you know that between February and July of this year, an analysis found that Black women lost 319,000 jobs in the public and private sectors nationwide, the only major female demographic to experience significant job losses during that period. This has led to a noticeable increase in the unemployment rate for Black women.

The earliest recorded use of “Black Friday” was in the United States and had nothing to do with shopping. It actually referred to a major financial crash which took place on the 24th September 1869. The latest financial crash this year started in January. We were not around in 1869, but we are here now.
