African On The Job

Black On The Job is a network and career development organization for Black people. Your being here means that you are already familiar with the company’s mission.

But did you also know that Black On The Job has stayed true to its vision of being a global Black-centric community?

When you hear Black On The Job, the first thing that comes to mind is usually Admin Cyn. Not surprising since she’s the face you see on the free career lives hosted in the Facebook and IG community, she’s the one the hive inboxes daily and tags to posts. Basically, everyone wants a piece of their beloved Admin Cyn.

However, Black On The Job has a co-founder.

Bet you didn’t know that, huh?

Introducing Saidou Diallo, the co-founder behind the scenes.

It’s all cutesy and attractive on the front-end, but he’s back there getting his hands dirty implementing and fine-tuning processes that account for the exponential growth and seamless operation of the company you all know and love.

Saidou Diallo hails from Senegal, West Africa.

In 2018, Cyntoni and Saidou came together to create Black On The Job. The company was birthed from a twin passion for empowering the Black community and providing resources that otherwise have been closed from us.

Meet the Bee Team

Of course, it was impossible to bring their dream to fruition all by themselves. It’s like a famous African proverb says:

“If you want to go fast, go alone

If you want to go far, go together.”

They definitely intend for Black On The Job to go far.

Their hand-picked Bee team of the best and brightest hail from Black communities all over the world – and consist of highly skilled people in different areas of career development.

The team consists of bees from Senegal, Kenya, Nigeria, and all over the United States.

This fun mix of cultures makes working at Black On The Job a fun and fascinating experience. Learning unfamiliar cultures and building new experiences – there is no shortage of a fun time. Work hard and play even harder is Admin Cyn’s motto, and boy, do they play hard.

Absolutely nothing beats working with people who look like you and accept you completely as you explore new experiences together.

Everyone on the Bee Team is united in Cyntoni and Saidou’s vision to correct racial inequality and close the disparate wage gap for the Black community. Hanging out with these two, it’s hard not to take their vision as your own, especially when you can see the impact you’re making in the community in real time.

So, let’s meet some of the people who continue to keep the Black On The Job torch blazing:

Susan Ntinyari is one of the oldest members of the BOTJ team. She resides in Kenya and has been of immense value to the writing team. Currently a Trainer Manager for the writing department (with a healthy career trajectory ahead of her), her passion for BOTJ’s mission is palpable and reflects in her work.

Also, if you decide to take a trip to the beautiful country of Kenya, you already know she’s got you.

Dara & Esther both live in Nigeria. Ever wonder if there’s a downside to having a couple work in the same company? These two would prove you wrong.

Esther is the Executive Assistant to the CEO – if you’ve inboxed Admin Cyn’s personal Facebook or sent us an email, then you’ve interacted with her before.

Dara is the General Manager for the writing team and has made some notable changes and improvements since he came on. They both work together seamlessly and have been an incredible addition to the team.

The Ancestral Dream of African Americans and Africans Working Together

Working together with a diverse Black team is a dream.

Long has negative stereotypes been believed and allowed to cause a rift behind both cultures. But not here at BOTJ.

With African-American and African co-founders, Black On The Job is a merging of Black culture and Black experience. With a Black team from two continents, we ignite the ancestral dream of unity between our cultures.

#28Black is the brainchild of both Cyntoni and Saidou. It’s their way of showcasing Africa to the world and forging a strong bond between us. United, we’ll be better able to tackle our common enemy and the systems put in place to keep our people down.
