Terms and Conditions

Appointment Reschedule/Missed Appointments
In order to maintain competitive pricing and best serve our commitment to our community, we are unable to reschedule or refund any appointments within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time. 

 

If you miss your appointment, you will receive your resume review notes by email within 24 - 48 hours of your missed appointment time. There is a 5-minute grace period for ALL appointments. Once this elapses, we will move the appointment to notes-only for resume review services. For other services, a reschedule fee of $20 will apply (**$50 for services purchased during a promotion)

 

We will only excuse missed appointments and allow rescheduling within the
48-hour window in extreme circumstances. The BOTJ admin team has sole discretion over the constitution of an extreme circumstance. 


For the cancellation/reschedule of all any service within 48 hours of the appointment, a $20 reschedule/cancellation fee may be assessed. 

 

​Appointment Rescheduling:

Any missed appointments purchased during a sale or promotion will incur a reschedule fee of $50.

Missed appointments not tied to a sale will incur a flat reschedule fee of $20.

 

Resume Revision Invoice & Packages Validity
Any price quoted during a resume review is valid for up to 45 days. After 45 days, a new resume review session will have to be completed to determine the revision price.


ALL purchased services and packages must be booked and used within 45 days of purchase.

The promotional value of all certificate codes expire within 45 days of purchase.

**All packages purchased during a sale or promotion must be used within 30 days of the purchase date. At the expiration of this timeframe, any unused services will be forfeited.

​To reinstate an expired package, an administrative fee of $125 will apply.

Package reinstatement is only available if no more than 60 days after package expiration. 

In any case of a refund for an unused package, an administrative fee of $99 will be deducted.

No exchanges, partial refunds, substitutions, or overuse of certificate value is allowed in the bundle packages or overhaul packages.

 

Packages and Payment Plans

All services purchased in a package/bundle must be booked within 45 days of purchase. At the expiration of this timeframe, any unused service included in this package will be forfeited.

Once your purchase is made, this is a legally binding contract between you and Black On The Job, LLC (“Producer”, “we”, “us”, “our”, “BOTJ”), and is designed to ensure your satisfaction and understanding of the purchase process, policies, and procedures governing your purchase. 

 

If you are making a purchase on behalf of someone else, the Terms contained in this Policy shall also apply to that person(s) and it is your duty to inform such person(s) of this Policy. Please read this Policy carefully prior to purchasing any package/bundle. This policy is subject to, and is in addition to, any other information posted by BOTJ, including, without limitation, the Black On The Job staff and/or policies. By purchasing a package/bundle you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in this policy as well as the Black on the Job Privacy Policy. 

 

Be sure to return to this Policy periodically to review the most current version of the Policy. We reserve the right at any time, at our sole discretion, to change or otherwise modify this Policy without prior notice; however, the date of any effective changes shall be reflected at the top of this page and upon request we will provide you with information regarding any changes made.

 

Refund Policy
If you’re unsatisfied with your service, please contact The Bee Experience Team to discuss a resolution. We do not offer cancellations or refunds unless otherwise agreed at our sole discretion. All refunds are granted at the sole discretion of Black On The Job. You will be charged a refund fee of 50% of the purchase price. Service fees are non-refundable.

 

Resume revision reassignment will not be granted more than 5 business days following the order completion date.

Resume revision payment refunds are granted only if refund request is made within 24 hours of payment.

 

Black On The Job does not offer prorated refunds for canceled packages/bundles. There will be no refunds or credits for partial months of service, upgrade/downgrade refunds, or refunds for months or services unused. In order to treat everyone equally, no exceptions will be made.
 

Payment Plans

In order to make our services affordable for as many people as possible, we offer 2-month payment plans (including Afterpay/Klarna payment options) on packages. If you are signing up for the 2-month payment plan, please ensure you have read and understood the payment plan terms below which explains how the payments are made and the consequences of defaulting on a payment.

 

Duration of Payment Plan
Payment plans run the duration of two months. The first payment is debited upon successful sign up, with one equal payment due on the same day of the next month. The second payment is automatically debited from your chosen payment method. No action is required to initiate this.
(For example, if the first payment is submitted in November, the second payment will be charged on the same day in December.)

 

With Afterpay/Klarna, you get to divide your payment into 4 installments. 

However, once the first payment is made, your payment is considered complete with Black On The Job (subsequent deductions will be directly from Afterpay/Klarna). If you choose to pay via Afterpay/Klarna, there will be no delay in scheduling and completing the services in your package.


Defaulted Package Payments

If the second part of the 2-month payment defaults, your account will be suspended. You will not have access to the scheduling site until the payment has been made. Several automatic attempts will be made to secure payment through your chosen payment method. If these attempts are unsuccessful, your payment plan may be restarted manually. 

 

Contact the Bee Experience at admin@jobbeeacademy.org to restart a payment plan. A late payment charge of $50.00 will be applied to your balance. Your access will be reinstated after confirmation of both payments.

 

​If a payment is declined, this is from by the bank or credit card company you’re using. Black On The Job does not have access to your banking information and is unable to see why the payment was declined. This is an automated system between your account and your chosen payment method. Please contact your bank or credit card company for more information.

 

Price Increases

If your payment plan defaults, your account will automatically switch to inactive. If you return to your professional development at a later date, you will be subjected to any service fee increases and will be required to pay any price difference to reinstate your account. A suspended account will be subjected to price increases after 30 days of a defaulted payment.

 

Changes to Payment Plan Terms

These payment plan terms may change in the future. Any client who has already started a payment plan and is not in default at the time of changes, the payment plan terms that were in place previously will apply.

 

Refund Policy for Payment Plans

Black On The Job does not offer prorated refunds for canceled payment plans. There will be no refunds or credits for partial months of service, upgrade/downgrade refunds, or refunds for months or services unused.
In order to treat everyone equally, no exceptions will be made.


Resume Revision:
Your resume revision/career coaching intake form is sent to you via email as soon as your resume review appointment is scheduled. This is expected to be completed within 24 hours of your appointment time. 

 

You’ll be allowed a grace period of 48 hours after your appointment before your resume writer proceeds with your resume revision using the notes gathered from your session and any information already provided in the form.

 

Your resume review notes and invoice** (**for non package clients) will be sent to you via email within 48 hours after your appointment. 

For non package clients: After your invoice is paid, you will be allowed 2 business days to complete and SUBMIT your resume revision questionnaire. If your intake form is not completed within 2 business days, we will proceed with your resume revision using your resume review notes only. After the revision is completed, you’ll be allowed one round of grammar edits only.

After your resume is curated, should you wish to add information that was not filled in your intake questionnaire within 5 business days of receipt of your completed resume, there would be an additional ad-hoc charge of $25 for any part of an hour.

 

If you wish to have additional information included in your resume after this time frame, an additional role/information charge of $75 will apply.

 

LinkedIn Profile Development Service:
To maintain the continuity of a valuable and busy consultant schedule, jobbees who do not fill out the intake form within 5 business days of their appointment will be charged a $50 fee before this service is continued.

 

After 60 days of non-completion of the LinkedIn creation intake form, the amount paid for the service will be refunded excluding a $99 administrative fee. 

Resume Service Important Information

We will never share, sell, redisclose, or otherwise use your personally identifiable information other than to provide you the services you have requested. We do reserve the right to utilize the format, style, and general appearance of finalized resumes as well as to modify resumes, cover letters, social media profiles (which would always include removing personally identifiable information) to promote or explain our products and services. 

 

By purchasing a service from our site, you grant us a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sub-licensable right to edit, modify, adapt, reproduce, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content, minus any personally identifiable information. By submitting information to us, you represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to the content provided, that the content is accurate, that use of the content you supply does not violate any policies and will not cause injury to any person or entity, and that you will indemnify us for all claims resulting from content you provided to Black On The Job. We assume no responsibility or liability for any content submitted by you or a other third party. 


Please note, Black On The Job does not guarantee interviews or jobs. 

 

If you’re unsatisfied with your resume, please respond to your first draft email within 5 business days your edit requests and concerns and a senior resume writer will address these carefully. 

 

We do not offer cancellations or refunds unless otherwise agreed at our sole discretion. All refunds granted are the sole discretion of Black On The Job and will be charged a refund fee of 50% of the purchase price. Service fees are non-refundable. 

 

Refunds or reassignment will not be granted after 60 days following the order completion date.


 

Jobbee Jr. Resume Services and Jr. Bee Packages 

These services have been heavily subsidized to afford our Baby Bees (ages 17-25 years) a head start towards their career goals. We value integrity and trust that clients over this age range would not take advantage of this service under false pretenses. You may be required to provide a valid ID to verify your age when you book this service.

The consequences for booking this service if over the age range is denial of service and forfeiture of amount paid.

 

Discounted and Promotional Resume Revisions

We regularly offer promotional prices for resume revision services. To qualify for these discounts, your prior resume review appointment must be no older than January 31st, 2023. 

 

In addition, if your resume review appointment was more than 2 months before the promotion, you’ll need to confirm that you have had no new work experience since this date in order to access the promo.

 

All jobbees who purchase a resume revision under this umbrella have 2 business days to turn in their intake questionnaires. If this document is not turned in within the given timeframe, your resume will be revised using your resume review notes only.

 

Discounted resume revisions will be subject to one round of edits which will be for grammar errors only.

 

Promotions

If you purchase a service or package prior to a sale, please note that you will not be credited or refunded the difference. You will also not be eligible for a refund in order to repurchase a service or package.

i. Resume Revisions

Within 5 business days of receipt of the first draft of your resume, you will be permitted one round of edits before your resume is considered final. 

Any further edits sent in as an afterthought will not be addressed. 

If no edit requests are received within the stated time frame, your resume will be considered final.

 

ii. ​Resume Review + Revisions Combo Packages
All certificate codes for resume review + revision packages (usually offered during promotional sales) are only valid for 30 days after their purchase date. At the expiration of this timeframe, any unused service included in this package will be forfeited. 

 

Any refunds granted will exclude a $99 administrative fee.

​Within 5 business days of receipt of the first draft of your resume, you’ll be permitted one round of grammar edit requests before your resume is considered final. Any further edits sent in as an afterthought will not be addressed.

 

Failure to Apply Discount Codes

We do not allow refunds (and repurchases) if you fail to enter a discount code prior to checkout. 

If you are unsure of how to use a discount code, please contact the Bee Experience Team for assistance prior to your purchase.

Masterclass Refunds

No refunds will be accessed after 24 hours of purchase of courses, workshops, and masterclasses. 

If you change your mind after a purchase, please contact the Bee Experience Team within 24 hours of payment of payment to request a refund.

**All Zoom recordings for masterclasses are only available for 90 days after the course. Please download to your local storage if you’d like to access them for longer. 

Masterclass Addd-ons

All add-ons purchased in addition to a masterclass ticket will be tailored specifically towards that masterclass.

 

Planner & Product Refunds

No refunds will be accessed after 24 hours of purchase of either the physical or digital copies of the planner and any other BOTJ products. 

If you change your mind after purchase, please contact the Bee Experience Team within 24 hours of payment to request a refund.


Returning Bee Packages

These packages are only applicable if you have previously completed a resume revision/rewrite with Black On The Job. This service covers no more than 2 additional roles on your old BOTJ resume. 

For resume update requests of more than two additional roles, the full cost of a resume revision will be accessed.
 


Mailing Schedules

All physical packages are mailed out on Tuesdays & Thursdays (excluding public holidays).
